Protecting the Safari

The Safari is a beautiful place, and that is exactly why we need to protect it.
In the African savannah there are many potential resources for humans to benefit from, and sometimes it is human greed that keeps someone from simply leaving these things be. In the past if animals were killed in the Safari it would be in self-defense, or for their fur and meat. Now there are people who travel around out in the Safari killing the wildlife simply for the sport.
Many species from that portion of the African savannahs are either endangered, or instinct due to the carelessness, or selfishness from us humans. Personally I go into absolute outrage just african savannahthinking about it as a pet owner and animal lover. Pet owner may not seem like a relatable thing, but I think if you are a person who takes in a family pet as a member of your family, then you shouldn’t be quite so reluctant to care about the other animals that are a part of the wild life as well.
The Rhinos that reside in those parts of Africa are something that you hear about more often today rather than others. There are at least two different species of Rhino that are endangered and are heading toward extinction, because of us humans. One of the biggest obstacles to protect them are the poachers who like to kill them for their horns to sell for a lot of money out on the market. I’ve heard of special paint for their horns that will render them useless for sale, and may protect the animal from poachers, but it may already be too late for them.
There are many people who will speak to the care of these animals, but do absolutely nothing about them. I will personally admit that I’m verbally passionate about these beautiful animals in the Safari, but have not done anything about it personally myself other than talk about it. It gives me a lot more respect for those few people out there out of our vast population who do and make rhinoa difference to the Safari wildlife. Some consider it a losing battle, but there are people out there still fighting. It can’t be easy with the funding as low as it is there.
If you’ve ever been on a tour of Africa or have considered it, it’s because you too have recognized how beautiful it is as well as the wildlife that is there. I encourage everyone to give at least a little consideration in either donation, volunteering, or maybe just global awareness to help the animals living there waiting for their extinction. Some of the damage was done well before we were even born. Some of it couldn’t have been helped because it was due to human expansion into the wildlife’s territory. It doesn’t mean that the generation today can do some of the work to get the African savannah restored back to its former state before so many animals in that portion of Africa were put on the endangered, and extinct animal list.
